PostSubject: Targets from worlds   Sun Nov 09, 2014 9:16 pm

The distribution of the Gamo sponsored targets used at the worlds, after discussion with the sponsor is as follows:

Any unused retailable targets are returned to Gamo for resale

1 x set of 60 (a full 50 target course plus 10 spares) will be held by the national body for use in nzafta sanctioned events where clubs targets may face risk of damage.
this set can also be used for any events the sponsor (Gamo) may wish the national body to run on their behalf.
Clubs hosting an nzafta sanctioned event may apply to the national body for the use of this set (including spare targets) for such event.

1 x set of 25 will be donated to Taranaki Air Rifle Club on behalf of the sponsor (Gamo) to be seen and promoted as helping an already affiliated club grow to a more capable size for hosting interclub shoots, or invitation nzafta sanctioned rounds.

1 x set of 25 will be donated to Howick Air Rifle Club on behalf of the sponsor to be seen and promoted as growing the sport of outdoor airgunning within nz, regardless of any affiliations to associations or national bodies within nz.

the remaining targets will be divided amongst those that stepped in to help rectify failures of modified targets at the FT worlds held in wellington. While it did not provide a desired first impression of the sponsors products, the sponsor is appreciative of those that helped to keep the event running, and still using their products.
21 people in total helped to make sure the event could carry on, some with detriment to their next days scores, but they all did the work without looking for remuneration.
All names were put "into a hat" and 10 were randomly drawn out, to have the remainder of the targets divided evenly amongst them, leaving a zero balance at the end. Drawn names will stand to receive 5x GAMO targets each.
Board of Governors that helped agreed to withdraw their names from the list, so as to not be seen to be doing anything for financial or personal gain.

The names drawn are:

Terry Lum
Ian Ritchie
Paul Blades
Hamish McClurg
Carl Robinson
Scott Townsend
Mike Newell
Andy Evans
Raewyn Magon
Brandon Symes

For those that stepped in with help, but whose names didnt get drawn, the outgoing Board of Governors, the worlds 2014 steering committee, the main sponsor (GAMO) and Adam Welsh all offer you their gratitude, appreciation and thanks. Without those that helped, the work wouldve been alot more time consuming and the event may have come to a standstill. It showed true character and the "can do" nature that most people associate with New Zealanders.

Regards
Alex Magon
